All Performance Series™ shells are built with DW’s patented HVX™ technique, which features 100% Maple plies with grains oriented in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal patterns for low, punchy fundamentals.
Bearing Edge
HVX™ shells are precision-cut with 45-degree (toms) and 60-degree (bass and snare) edges. These edges provide tonality and sustain from your toms, and depth and punch from your bass and snare.
Limited Birch Shells
Performance Series™ Birch shells are built with DW’s patented HVX™ technique, featuring 100% Birch plies with grains oriented in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal patterns for low, punchy fundamentals.
Crafted in the California Custom Shop, these custom-quality drums offer powerful attack and tight resonance that made Birch a player favorite and a studio legend.
